Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a businesswoman, investor and speaker from the United American. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was sold to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran left the company shortly after. Corcoran has participated in 12 episodes of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. Corcoran had signed 53 contracts until February, 2020. The biggest deal she signed was her $350,000 investment in Coverplay for 40%. Corcoran was the second of 10 kids born to a working class Irish-Catholic couple in Edgewater, New Jersey. Florence was her mother, who was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. her father, was a multi-talented worker throughout the years of Corcoran's childhood. Her family frequently relied on free food deliveries from a local grocery store. Corcoran recalls her father as a man who often consumed too much alcohol and treated her mother with disrespect and contempt, particularly when he'd been drinking. Corcoran struggled through her schooling and was eventually diagnosed with dyslexia. Corcoran attended a Catholic primary school within her area and started the high school year in St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. After failing several classes during her first year of high school, Corcoran transferred to Leonia High School in Leonia, where she was a D-student when she graduated.
