Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. She is best known for playing the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The show ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her regular role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received nominations for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was teacher and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was an investor in venture capital. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends in Passover seders.
